Giveaway: The Soothing Blanket by Luna Lullaby

The five S's ... if you have ever had a baby, you know what we are talking about. If you haven't had a baby, you will find out what we are talking about when you do. Swaddling, side/stomach position, shushing, swinging and sucking ... the answer to your fussy baby qualms.

Let's talk about the first S ... swaddling ...

The Soothing Blanket by Luna Lullaby is a necessity for baby. Each swaddle blanket is made from 100% soft quality cotton muslin with a fabric weave specially designed to breathe easily. The lightweight, stretchy fabric permits snug wrapping while allowing baby's body temperature to regulate ... keeping baby cool in the summer and warm in the winter!

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to swaddle your baby and having the blanket not stretch quite far enough. You will not have that problem with The Soothing Blanket, as each blanket measures 44" x 44", making it ideal for swaddling newborns or larger babies.

Each set of The Soothing Blanket includes three swaddle blankets, an instructional DVD and is available in nine different styles.

Click here to learn more about The Soothing Blanket ...

We are giving away one set of The Soothing Blanket ... reader's choice of style. To enter, simply leave a comment on this post telling us about your experience (or lack thereof) with the five S's. Please remember to include your email in your comment so we can contact you if you win. Contest ends Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at 10PM EST.

Good luck!

Congratulations to Kristin over at The Cliffords ... you are our winner! Please contact us! :)

Oh my gosh we are forever swaddlers! I still swaddle Chelsea at the hospital to help her wind down. She gets so stimulated and then can't sleep. Cute cute cute!

the five S's really do work, sometimes it takes going through all of them more than once. Each time you do it it goes faster as the baby starts to learn that they can relax, at least that is my take on it. I would love to win a set of soothing blankets

My son loved to be swaddled and sang to when falling asleep. Now I have another little boy on the way and I'm sure it will be the same for him. Thanks.

I just learned about the 5 S's from my friend who had a baby in January... she said they are life savers! I intend on implementing all 5 of the S's when my little one comes in June!
Thanks so much for bringing attention to these techniques!

Blessings, Natalie

Unfortunately, my son Max was born with club feet and was in full leg casts from 2 days of age until he was 2 months old. After that he had to wear a brace that kept his legs spread wide apart. Needless to say, we were never able to swaddle him. He had a rough first couple of months and we had to utilize the other 4 S's constantly to calm him down. Now Max is a very happy 7 month old. We hope to be able to swaddle our next baby!

I am a believer and fan of the 5 S's! We have always swaddled, and the babies have loved it! While pregnant with our brand new baby, I read The Happiest Baby on The Block. It made a lot of sense. After the baby came and we tried all 5 S's in combination we saw how much she loved it! It really has worked to calm her. Now as soon as we get her swaddled she is generally calm without even needing the rest of the S's -- but boy do they sure work when she does get out of sorts! This blanket sounds wonderful!

Well, I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy, and unfortunately he has colic with reflux. For AJ being snug is the most comforting thing in the world. Soothing is the name of the game. Wandi & AJ

I was a nursery nurse for a year and a half, and trust me I know how important the five s's are. Especially swaddling! I am now expecting my first baby and would love this blanket to perfectly swaddle the new little one!

I am so excited to swaddle my first baby! I use to work at the hospital and I would take the first photos of so many wonderful babies. There I learned the importance of swaddling. Sadly, my husband is away at boot camp and wont be able to learn this vaulable technique until he comes home. (A whole month after the baby is born)

Count me in for this wonderful prize!

We loved using the Twinkle Twinkle set with Jasper. He's a summer baby so the muslin was light enough to breathe but snuggly enough to feel secure. I love the new colors!

Connor had horrific colic and seriously made me think we would never ever have another child. I added another "S" to the five "S's" when he was going through that colicky stage...."Showering." When I reached that point of really needing to escape his screaming for a few minutes, I would take a shower because that was the only place in my house that I couldn't hear him crying. I think there needs to be a list of the "Five S's" for calming moms down who are dealing with crying newborns! LOL!

I don't know what I would have done without swaddling both my boys. It made them feel so safe and secure and it got me a little bit more sleep! Both are a good thing. I'd love to win one of your blankets.

The 5 s's really got us through the first couple of months with our daughter. The only way she would sleep through the night is if she was swaddled. We were so thankful when we discovered the trick to getting her to calm down. katebeth45ATgmail
